Varsity World is a teen destination social portal with hundreds of thousands of unique members. Users can listen to music, watch streaming videos and chat online securely. Since Varsity World supports a media rich environment for their users, they needed to develop back-end data structures and front-end interfaces that support innovative means of presenting and searching for media, as well as allow users to customize their accounts.
Our solution
ProAce helped integrate .NET, AJAX, and SQL Server technologies as well as DHTML mechanisms to create a customizable portal homepage. Users are able to interact using drag-and-drop functionality to change the look and feel of their homepage.
ProAce also worked with Amazon to integrate Amazon Web Services into Varsity World for developing a high-end e-commerce shopping solution. ProAce was successful in providing a seamless user shopping experience on the Varsity World site while backing on the strength of Amazon’ deep catalogue and existing shopping management systems.
