The challenge
Guided implant placement is a complicated process that requires multiple skill sets. Often dentists and patients opt for a bridge tooth due to the complexities of an implant placement even though an implant is a much superior treatment. One of the main challenges with implant placement is the collaboration required between the dentist, the surgeon, and the laboratories. The proper diagnosis is of utmost importance to ensure a successful surgery.
Our solution
ProAce was contracted by GIS to develop a web application which would facilitate the collection and collaboration of the patient data by the dentists, labs and the surgeons. This hosted solution can be accessed though the browser and is very simple to set up. It’s easy interface and step by step work flow requires minimum training for the dentists. All the relevant data is captured and stored centrally giving all parties involved a single point of repository for each treatment.

About the Client
Guided Implant Solutions, Inc. is a web-based system that manages the process of computer-guided implants while the dentists make clinical decisions. GIS manages information between the different parties involved in treatment including the dental laboratory, implant manufacturer, guide manufacturer, imaging center, restorative dentist and surgeon. GIS handles most of the administrative details.
